Analiza okluzije u maksimalnoj interkuspidaciji (MIK) predstavlja najčešći postupak u svakodnevnom kliničkom radu. Svrha ovog rada bila je pomoću T-Scan II sustava izvršiti analizu okluzije zubi u MIK-u na 63 normalna ispitanika u četiri položaja tijela i glave te utvrditi utjecaj promjene položaja tijela i glave na okluziju. Rezultati su opisani deskriptivnom statističkom analizom, a statistički značajna razlika za sve varijable između različitih položaja tijela i glave izračunata je multivarijantnom analizom varijance ponovljenih mjerenja te Schefféovim post hoc testom. Pouzdanost postupka izražena je pomoću koeficijenta varijabilnosti (CV). U uspravnom položaju tijela i glave prosječni ukupni broj zubnih dodira bio je 28, 89. Najveći broj dodira utvrđen je na kutnjacima, a najmanji na sjekutićima. MIK je prosječno bio uspostavljen kod 74, 43% relativne sile zatvaranja. Pri tome se u prednjem dijelu modela zubnog luka javljalo 14, 2%, a u stražnjem 85, 8% relativne sile, dok je prosječna udaljenost centra sila od cilja iznosila 7, 23± ; ; 3, 68 mm. Statistički značajna razlika utvrđena je za dodire svih zubi (p<0, 001) osim drugog pretkutnjaka, za relativne sile u prednjem dijelu modela zubnog luka (p<0, 05) te ukupne Delta relativne sile (p<0, 05), između uspravnog položaja tijela i glave i uspravnog položaja tijela s fleksijom glave. Prema zubnim dodirima u MIK-u identificirano je 97, 2 % ispitanika, dok je najveća vrijednost CV-a utvrđena pri fleksiji glave i na sjekutićima (1, 1-24, 2%). Utvrđeno je da promjene položaja tijela i glave utječu na kvantitativna obilježja okluzije. Analiza okluzije pomoću T-Scan II sustava pokazala se kao jednostavni i pouzdani klinički postupak.

Analysis of occlusion in maximum intercuspation (MI) is the most common procedure in everyday clinical work. The purpose of this study was to analyse occlusion in MI in 63 normal subjects in four body and head positions by means of the T-Scan II system and to establish influence of changes in body and head position on occlusion. The results were described by descriptive statistical analysis, and statistically significant difference for all variables between different body and head positions was calculated by multivariate analysis of variance of repeated measurements and by the Scheffé post hoc test. The reliability of the procedure was established by coefficient of variability (CV). The average total number of tooth contacts in the upright body and head position was 28.89. The majority of contacts were found on molars, and the smallest number on incisors. On average, MI was reached at 74.43% of relative closure force. The anterior part of the dental arch model accounted for 14.2%, and the posterior part for 85.8% of relative force, whereas the average distance between the centre of force and the centre of the dental arch model was 7.23±3.68 mm. A statistically significant difference was established for contacts of all teeth (p<0.001) except for the second premolar, for relative forces in the anterior part of the dental arch model (p<0.05) and total Delta relative forces (p<0.05), between the upright body and head position and the upright body position with head flexion. 97.2% of subjects were identified by tooth contacts in MI, whereas the highest value of CV was found with head flexion and on incisors (1.1-24.2%). It was shown that changes in body and head position influence quantitative characteristics of occlusion. Occlusion analysis by means of the T-Scan II system was established as a simple and reliable clinical procedure.
